EBRD Board of Directors visited Bozankaya’s facilities in Ankara

Attracting the attention of the whole world with the Bangkok Metro Project tender it won in 2016, Bozankaya was closely followed by many actors from the world’s finance sector. Bozankaya, which carried out R&D and production with its own financing and started to manufacture the first domestic subway, received an additional 10 million Euro support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the capacity increase in its factory. Adding new production lines to its current capacity and commissioning new welding robots with this support for a small part of production costs, Bozankaya will produce 22 subway train sets, each of which consists of 4 wagons, for one of Thailand’s largest transportation projects.

Representatives from the Board of Directors of the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) paid a visit to Bozankaya’s facilities in Turkey for the Bangkok Metro Project, whose production continues at full speed and where the first metros will be delivered in 2018. While the Board of Directors, which visited Bozankaya production facilities in Ankara representing the Bank’s partner countries and institutions, was informed about the production of Metro sets, which will be exported a few months later, future projects with ongoing R&D were also discussed.
