Bozankaya carries out Turkey’s first metro export to Thailand!

Establishing a consortium partnership with Siemens Mobility in 2016, Bozankaya introduced the first metro vehicle of the tender won at its production facilities in Ankara exactly 25 months later. The Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Aswin Kwanmuang, attended the ceremony held at our Electric Commercial Vehicles and Rail Systems Production Center in the 1st Organized Industrial Zone of Xinjiang. MINISTRY OF ECONOMY Deputy Undersecretary Mr. Tarık Sönmez, BTSC Group and Siemens senior officials, Ankara Chamber of Industry Chairman Nurettin Özdebir, Ankara Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board Mr. Gürsel Baran and esteemed Board Members, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OSTİM Organized Industry Zone Mr. Orhan Aydın and various press organizations attended. Speaking at the delivery ceremony of the Bangkok Green Line Metro Project, Murat Bozankaya said; “We are proud to represent Turkey in international projects. Today, as Bozankaya, we are signing the first metro export in the history of the Republic. We are also very happy to contribute directly to Turkey’s exports with this project. We will continue our transportation projects in Thailand, Turkey’s friendly country. After the Bangkok Green Line Metro project, we will also work hard for the Blue Line Metro project. We would like to thank Mr. Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang, the managers of BTS and our consortium partner Siemens Mobility.” said. Bozankaya, which will realize Turkey’s first metro export, will contribute to the country’s economy by providing more than 40 million Euros of foreign currency inflow to Turkey with this project. The Green Line Metro project will also be the largest export to Thailand to date. Bozankaya invested more than 50 million Euros in Turkey’s largest and most modern rail transportation systems production center to realize all these. The Green Line Project, built for Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, of which Bozankaya is the contractor with the consortium established with Siemens Mobility, will consist of 68.25 kilometers of line length and 59 metro stations to be located on this line. Each of the 22 trains that will serve on this line will consist of 4 metro vehicles. The last delivery of the metros, which has the capacity to carry 1,572 passengers at once, will be in 2019.
